There are a lot of great things that I can say about Amazon, but the first thing is trust, it's a name that you can recognize and trust that you won't get ripped off online.
I am not much of a shopper off-line or on-line, but when I do need something, I go to Amazon first and they usually have what I am looking for, so I order it. I know it's going to be here in a few days. Just recently, I broke a part on my old band saw, I had no idea what the part was, but I searched replacement products on Amazon and came across the product I was looking for and it was called a Trunnion. Imagine that, finding Trunnions on Amazon!
More people than ever have joined online shopping since the COVID shutdowns, they had no choice but to start ordering online and many people just went to Amazon. During those shutdown days, we saw a huge amount of Amazon packages coming over on the Ferry, that hasn't changed much, there is still a lot packages coming over every day.
Amazon Products: we know Amazon has a huge selection of products with their online store and they can deliver just about anywhere. There are many advantages to buying from Amazon, and one is; you are supporting a local business in a First Nation. You don't have to be a First Nations person to shop from my site, I appreciate the support from all.

Amazon has been doing this for a long time now and helping smaller businesses in supplying products that are sold on their huge platform and associates helping to promote them to you. Supporting A First Nation Business
You will be supporting our First Nation owned business called Little Ojibway Log Construction located on Christian Island. We are a start-up company and we are building Mini Log Homes and Timber Frame structures, our goal is to create Employment and Training starting with our younger people who are learning the craft of Timber-Framing. See our About page for more information about me and my company. You will be helping to train our young people in the trade and helping them to buy the tools they need. You will also be helping our company move forward, and you will be a part of it!
It doesn't matter which product you click on (on our site) when you go to Amazon, if you buy something else other than that product, we still get a commission if you purchased anything within 24 hours.
The commissions are anywhere from 3% to 6% depending on the product, it doesn't sound like much, but it will add up with more people shopping through our site, or just linking through our site.
We also want to provide you with an educational experience about Amazon and shopping online, if you are Tax Exempt, we encourage you to read our Tax Exemption page as well.

Our reviews will be written based on the research we do on the item, recommendations from users or buyers of the product, and any problems that some customers encountered. Some of our reviews will be available in video format using digital spokespersons or sometimes I might do them myself.

We encourage all First Nation staff who purchase products all the time to use our site too...and please share our site to other First Nation Administrations (Band Office). We will make sure to include office items in our reviews.
The Administration can sign up for an Amazon Business Account too, there are many benefits and savings that the First Nation will have access to including adding a Team, meaning other departments who order supplies all the time will save money. It's free to apply, consider this as a savings for the First Nation.
Tax Exempt
Even though Amazon recognizes are tax exempt status, they can only offer a claim process where you claim the taxes back that you have paid on your purchase. Most times when we use our tax exempt, it's at a Point of Purchase where the teller takes your information and you fill in the necessary information to validate your details including your Band Number and showing your Status Card.
Your order is all taken online through an automated system, so you have 180 days to claim back those taxes, so this could add up for you too, alternatively, you can claim back your taxes when you file your taxes at the end of the year.
Either way you can always get it back, so it's really important that you save all your receipts and your order numbers from Amazon.
Paying For Your Orders
You can use your Debit card or Credit Card to pay for purchases, you can also use some well known reloadable Credit Cards like Koho or do a search for Best Prepaid Credit Cards.
Shipping Fee or Free Shipping
The shipping fee is based on the total amount of your purchase, there are minimum order requirements for example, if you are over $35, then your shipping may be free. You can test this out by taking the order to your cart and seeing if it qualifies for free shipping.
Another way to get free shipping is to sign up for Amazon Prime, there are some great benefits to signing up to Prime, and it is free for the first 30 days. Use this link if you plan to sign up, this is great for people that shop all the time on Amazon so that you can watch movies, get other benefits and shipping for free on any of your purchases.
Amazon Prime has a lot of benefits that include free shipping on all your orders and it has a premiere movie channel.
